I am running for City Council because I want to keep Palo Alto's unique quality of life that we love. Now more than ever our community needs leaders who will listen, include all the stakeholders and build consensus around viable solution.
In 2007 I received the Sally Seigel Award for my leadership roll spearheading the district-wide fundraising policy which now raises millions of dollars equitably for classroom programs in our schools.
As a managerial accountant with over 30 years of experience balancing budgets, I received the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services from the State Bar of California this last spring for my work at Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto.
I have the analytical skills, depth of knowledge and background to tackle the unprecedented challenges we face.
If elected I will work to:
- Balance our $10 million budget deficit while protecting our valued city services,
- Provide timely and complete information on major challenges facing Palo Alto like, HSR and housing densification,
- Protect the charactor of Palo Alto like our libraries, community centers, parklands, fields and open spaces, while
- Working with the Chamber of Commerce to re-energize our downtown businesses, and neighborhood shopping centers.
Let's re-think how City Hall works with its community, with your vote on November 3rd we can make it happen. |

Nancy's extensive community experience, especially with schools and non-profit organizations, will add depth to City Council.
I can't wait to have her represent us!
